Are MAVERICK employees required to travel?
Some positions and projects may require travel to customer sites. We also have employees who are assigned to a customer site on a long-term basis. You should discuss this during your interview and be open about how much travel is acceptable.
Does MAVERICK pay for transportation for interviews?
Yes. If we require that you travel for an interview, we will reimburse you for reasonable expenses. Your recruiter will cover travel details with you prior to any trip.
Does MAVERICK pay for relocation?
Yes. If we require that you relocate, we will provide assistance. Our Human Resources department will coordinate your move with you upon your acceptance of an employment offer.
When should I expect to hear a response regarding my job application?
Our recruiters begin reviewing applications as soon as they are submitted. They will contact you if they feel your qualifications match our requirements for a particular position.
Does MAVERICK sponsor foreign nationals for a visa or to become permanent residents?
We review the need to sponsor potential employees on a case-by-case basis. Some of the factors considered are unique skill sets and the availability of local candidates.
How should I dress when I attend an interview?
You should dress professionally, in a manner appropriate for an interview. Because MAVERICK is a casual work environment, you may wear business casual for your interview.
Do I need to apply for a specific position, or can I submit my resume for general review?
You should apply for a specific position. That is the best way to let us know what you are interested in. Once you are in our system, you can sign up for alerts when future positions become available. You can then apply for these positions if interested.
What is the best way to submit my resume?
You should upload your resume when you create an applicant profile. if you are coming to a career fair, bring a hard copy of your resume with you.
Should I submit references?
You do not need to submit references with your resume, but you should have them available if we ask for them. We generally like to speak with up to three people who can tell us about your professional or study habits, applicable work experience and your fit with our competencies and culture.

What career opportunities and development should I expect at MAVERICK?
Our goal is not only to provide you with a realistic job experience, but to help you to develop into a potential MAVERICK employee upon graduation. We hire for these positions with the expectation that, if you perform well, we will offer you full-time employment.
When new full-time employees enter the company, we have an extensive onboarding program. This includes extensive technical training, as well as a focus on interpersonal and business skills. Our goal is to have you ready to work on project teams and with our clients as soon as possible.
MAVERICK has excellent opportunities for employees to grow with the company both in a technical capacity, as well as in management and leadership. You should discuss your career interests with our representatives.
Do I need to make an appointment in order to speak to someone at a career fair?
No. Simply stop by our booth, and we’ll be happy to talk to you.
How should I dress when I attend a career fair?
We follow business casual dress for work at MAVERICK, and you should do the same for a career fair.
How should I dress and prepare for an information session?
You should dress casual for our information sessions. Come prepared with questions about MAVERICK, our job opportunities and work environment.
How should I dress for an on-campus interview?
Business casual is appropriate for our on-campus interviews.
What degrees are needed to excel at MAVERICK?
Our main two degrees are electrical and chemical engineering. However, we do like to have a mix of mechanical and computer science degrees as well.
