Greg Millinger works out of his home office in St. Petersburg, Florida, and joined MAVERICK in January 2015. He is responsible for managing the Enterprise Integration Professional Server Group, which specializes in production execution, work process management and manufacturing intelligence systems.
Greg earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from the University of Alabama. He began his career in the U.S. Navy, where he spent five years as a Navy Diver. After leaving military service, he pursued his education and worked for a number of systems integration firms, progressively working up to senior management positions.
Greg’s primary focus has always been manufacturing systems software development. At one point, he left the systems integration business to join Deloitte Consulting as a senior consultant, where he was part of the Technical Integration Group responsible for systems design for SAP, Oracle and middleware applications. He then spent a couple of years at a startup company, Activplant Corporation, as a software engineering manager. His work in the areas of work process management and manufacturing middleware systems led to a transition to General Electric.
Greg spent almost nine years of his career in various business and technical leadership roles at GE, where his work led to two patents for work process management systems designs. Greg first served as a product manager of the Proficy SOA / workflow and was responsible for the design and development of a next-generation manufacturing software platform for the Proficy product line. After development was completed for the Proficy SOA/Workflow platform, he progressed to general manager and managed that business for almost four years. After leaving GE, Greg took a senior consultant role at Tata Consultancy Services, where he led the development teams for Proficy SOA / workflow-based systems.
